There have been a whole string of high-profile data breaches recently. Users of the dating site AshleyMadison.com and Talk Talk mobile phone customers have both found their personal details posted online, while in a worrying development the latest company to experience such a leak was VTech, which makes kiddy-friendly tablets and ‘smart’ toys – raising concerns that childrens’ photos, addresses and dates of birth could be circulated online.

Internet security experts report a growing public awareness of the risks involved when personal data is made public – staff at the supermarket chain Morrisons, for instance, recently sued their employer when such a breach occurred. So are YOU worried about data security, or are leaks simply a day-to-day risk to be filed alongside lightning strikes and getting run over a bus?
