Unlike previous attempts at 3D smartphones that left users feeling woozy and nauseous (we’re looking at you HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D), the newly developed VKWorld Discovery S1 promises to be the world’s first glasses-free HD 3D smartphone that won’t have you grasping for a bucket.

VKWorld are hoping that the much-improved clarity of the 5.5-inch, 1280x720 resolution with 267ppi screen should be enough to let you watch the whole library of YouTube’s 3D offering without any dizziness and nausea. Ok, by modern standards those specs don't sound entirely impressive, but the previous generation of 3D phones maxed out at 960x540. However, unlike previous 3D smartphones, it seems that it will not have the ability to record photos and videos in 3D, although full spec details are not yet available.

Oh, and if 3D wasn’t enough VKWorld also claim that it will be the first 5.5-inch smartphone able to stand up unassisted, even vertically. Brilliant!
