Halloween

Whether it's ghosts, wizards, gargoyles or goblins, Halloween (All Hallows' Eve) is the one night a year these creatures are celebrated. Originating as a humble Christian event remembering the dead, including the saints (hallows), martyrs and lost relatives, things have changed pretty drastically over time. Now, Halloween exemplifies a range of activities, such as 'trick or treating', whereby many dress up to scare, creep and tantalise local residents (or ask for sweets, of course).
