The sea

The sea

Earth's sea covers 71 per cent of its surface and is home to almost 1 million different animal and plant species, with two thirds of them estimated to still be unknown. The sea is a large body of salt water consisting of four main areas, the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Artic oceans. The sea has become an important part of human life, opening doors to trade and travel , as well as being a renewable energy source.
