TVs

It’s listed as being the nation’s favourite past time, and a television can be found in virtually every household in the country. A TV produces 2D or 3D moving images on a screen from a signal, and is used as a medium for entertainment, news and advertising. Although invented in the 1920s, black and white televisions first became popular in the UK after World War II. Initially, television signals were transmitted as analog signals, but in recent years signals have converted to digital. Recently we have moved from HD sets as standard to 4K TVs, which have better resolution and sharper, brighter screens, especially the ones with HDR technology.
