Marmite lovers, rejoice. Thanks to its high levels of B vitamins, the yeast-based spread may ease anxiety, according to a recent study at Victoria University in Australia. Vitamin B12, for example, is thought to be linked to the production of serotonin – a chemical in the body that helps to regulate mood.
For the Marmite haters out there, a recent Taiwanese study suggests that omega-3 fatty acids, found in foods such as oily fish and nuts, may also help to relieve anxiety.
