Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis suggested that dreams were repressed longings. Carl Jung thought that they were more closely associated with learning and making sense of what happened during the day. Sometimes, during lucid dreaming, you are aware that you are dreaming and you can control what is happening.
